I changed my mind and decided that I am going to do something different with composting and tilling. I'm going to start digging the space for my garden this week and use that whole area for compost. I don't know if this is a bad idea or if it's okay but I'm lazy and my thinking is something is better than nothing.

Makes perfect sense to me :) Before planting in the spring all you have to do is till everything into the ground and you'll have a great bed :) I may have to do that for my new beds, they are going to be in such horrible soil that will need a lot of compost anyway... |

Sounds like lasagna beds where you just layer the components for mulch and let them cook and do the work of making the bed (which is a lot less back breaking than trying to do it yourself!). Good luck! |
