The weather here is still warmer than normal, but we did get 4/10ths of an inch of rain last night and that we are grateful for! I am still watering my perennials and shrubs. The ground is so dry, that you cannot even tell it rained., it soaked it up so quickly.
As soon as it dries enough I will get out there and start on the deck. We had a wonderful weekend, but I was already booked to do Identity Theft seminars and did not get any outside things done. Going to be a busy week for sure. My knockout roses are blooming nicely and the clematis I thought had died is actually trying to drow a little bit.. yipee!
The apple orchards around here did not have a good crop. I think that really late cold spell we had in the spring and the drought all summer really did not help at all with peaches or apples. I am looking forward to going on a tour of a Fulton county that has 2 weekends of crafts and flea markets, and hoping to get some fresh apple cider if any is available.

I hate it when I go outside and the only way I can tell that we have had any rain is when the concrete steps are still damp. I've even caught myself going to the backdoor and timing the rain showers,lol. Have a good week :) |

I think blogging is a good way to keep track of the rainfall without having to keep a journal going. We got about an inch which is much needed, but is alreay soaked down into the soil and is not even muddy. |
