Tag: a touch of frost
I don't think the frost was too bad, but we did have to wait for it to melt off the windows of the car this morning before we left for a business meeting. I put some of my container plants under the table and chairs on the deck and they seem to be fine this evening. When I got up about 6 this morning it was 36.5 degrees!! Way too cold for this time of year that is for sure, but it does put you in the mood for a weiner roast! LOL
To answer a couple of questions, I am not sure how to describe the wrought iron furniture, there is a little bench and matching chair, kind of like flowers and scrolls with a kind of claw foot leg.
We have not purchased the deck stain yet, but hubby is leaning toward the same color we had before which was a cedar shade.
Guess it is time to get out my fall decorations and bring home come pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks.

mmmm when it gets nasty ,it really does eh.do you use bubble wrap round your pots? that furniture sounds nice really gothic. oh i must ask, do you make pumpkin pie? |

Guess it is inevitable that frost will come. It is a beautiful time of year, but I still have so much to do. Hope it will warm a bit for you in the next days before it settles in for the winter. LB |

We had that one evening when we got just a touch of frost and yesterday it was 93 degrees and still no rain since that last inch. The ground is soooo dry! My daughter is still hauling water, becasue her well is dry. Valery, this early in the season I just cover my pots for the odd over night frost. Just to keep the frost off of them and then I make sure to take the cover off before the sun hits it. |
