Plants in my Garden: bearded iris, caladiums, elephant ears , black eyed susans, zinnias, marigolods, impatiens, begonias, pansies/mums, Queen Fabiolas, blue morning glory, portchulacka, forget me nots, verbena, tulips/tomatoes
Favorite Aspect of Gardening: seeing, touching, feeling, smelling the soil, watching my bulbs sprout from the ground, I feel like an expectantant MOM, the satisfactory feeling of restoring my Mothers' beloved flower beds, making the house a home, as if she were still here.
If I'm not in my garden, I can usually be found: Sticking needles in my eyes, due to squirrels digging ups my caladium bulbs. To calm myself - I listen to my favorite Blues/Classic R&B/ Soul Music, usually Delbert McClinton or Drink Small, a little taste of Skipp Pearson Jazz,. I also head for the local, and incredibly beautiful creeks - for solitude and to gather rocks for my flower beds. Come home to a good book, creating characters for radio comedy, maybe catch a local play, I can be found submitting to my vocal and demanding cats & experimental cooking with fresh herbs , and watching the Atlanta Braves, who inspire me to hone my blue and colorful vocabulary.
