I pile some spent flower pots in a wagon and today there is a small plant starting in one of those flower pots. I didn't have anything that resembles this plant and blossom. I looked in the Kentucky wild flower book and didn't see any that resembles this one. Maybe one of the members can identify it.
The plant is about six or seven inches tall. The blossoms are one inch to inch and a quarter.

Thank you. It is a Torenia 'Rose Moon' Wishbone Flower Plant. I never had any of these annuals in my garden. A bird must have delivered a seed to me. Well, isn't that special. Bill Mitchell

Isn't that ironic?! Someone had just mentioned that particular plant in one of the Forums. I believe it was an answer to what could one plant in a shade garden. I had no idea what that flower was. Maybe you can gather its seeds and have some more next year. Thanks for showing us.

Very, very beautiful flower. Thank you for sharing pics with us. It will be intersting to see if it comes back from seed or plant. JJ

This is some form of trumpet flower. The leaves are huge and the stock is thick. This is not an orchid or johnny jump up. Am searching for you but no luck yet. Will let you know if I find anything. ~Barbara

Looked and looked and no luck yet. The leaves remind me of my pom pom plant (that's what I call them cause I can't remember their real name). The leaves seem too big for the flower. Well, will be anxious to see what it is! If it is a Johnny, well, I apologize for insisting it wasn't. My johnny's have all been very delicate with flowers thru out. Can you tell this is bugging me? hahaha.
