New afternoon friend

This morning while I was watering I discovered a large box turtle in my flower bed, but I didn't have my camera. So I missed that shot. I took Sandy down to the lake for her daily swim. Tons of weekenders are here with tons of their dogs running around, so I brought the cats in until tomorrow evening when they all go back home. I forgot to bring in the cat food and there it was, in broad daylight, in the middle of the afternoon. The cutest young raccoon up on the porch, next to the storm door having his lunch. I got my camera and I was afraid it would run when it saw me. No way Jose, he just looked up and smiled at me. Here is it's picture.

What a smile, that was a pleasant surprise I bet. I love all the wild life even down to the little tree frogs. My pond is also full of all kinds of critters, which I enjoy listening to and seeing. You have a super good day also Bill, and thanks for sharing this photo. John |

We didn't choose this wonderful place, it was chosen for us. 28 years ago, I was doing some work for this older couple who loved my family, especially my children. They owned this fishing camp and hardly ever used it. They wanted us to have it and sold it to me cheap, give away cheap. It was a gift from God for us.
