I am a cancer survivor, fourteen years now and a retired machinist, and I love growing flowers. I was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky. My wife was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and we are married 54 years plus. We have seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. I grew vegetables when the kids were growing up, we all planted, picked, and canned. It was truly a labor of love. My wife and I moved to Jabez, Ky on Lake Cumberland seven years ago from Jeffersonville, Indiana. We lived there for 34 years. Our new property is wooded with white oak, some pine, and hickory, so we don't have a lot of open sun. It's a challenge to pick the spots and types of plants and shrubs that produce the beauty we love in a flower garden. No more vegetables. We live in the country and get all those that we need from our neighbor farmers around here. I'll upload more flower pictures as soon as I take them. Photography is also a hobby that has followed me since high school. I am also somewhat of a computer tech, self taught. I was a fairly decent machine designer/ toolmaker/electrician/welder, also self taught.
