About bgrow_gardens
I love to garden! I have a few plants at the moment and am slowly
building a collection of hummingbird & butterfly/bumblebee attracting plants.
I just hope they will stop by and say hello ; ) once in a while..
Primarily I have always grown vegetables and herbs. Now the flower bug
has bitten me hard! I am on a mission to fill my yard with flowering
plants as well. Thanks to the generosity of others, and my first year
of winter sowing. Can I say WOW am I impressed with the results! I’ll
have a glorious yard full of flowers. I love the perennials they seem
to do perform the best for me. My two favorite flowers are
Streptocarpus, (reminiscent of orchids, a houseplant) and Brugmansia’s. I am
currently owned by a blue&gold macaw, and a cockatiel who thinks
she’s a parrot as well. (well definitely her cockatiel attitude is).
The rest of the "bird herd" of cockatiel’s are a little bit more on the
normal side! I love to share seeds.. I am hoping to expand my variety soon when the flowers start going to seed. My gardening style is more of a hodge podge cottage style yard. Along with 4 nice raised beds for veggie's. I also do a lot of container gardening as well. (I also strive to compost & lasagnastyle garden).
