Chives that are no longer wanted!

I have chives that have invaded some areas of my flower beds, from many years ago my son had an herb garden. I have tried pulling them, using regular Round Up, Weed and Grow.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why not replant them in a container; it's always nice to have chives in a salad. My granddaughter (6) loves garlic chives and they are very invasive, too, so I have a container of them; no matter where I move the container, Micaela can find it. |
