Hello people, I found a new hobbie this past spring, planting flowers. What I didn't know was, how much I'd actually enjoy doing it until I did it. I planted all kinds of flowers in pots this year; I have a huge open porch on the second floor to my house and it faces the east. I get bright sun on it all day until about 3:00 p.m. and then it goes into the back of the house. I have a large open porch on the back of the house too; it gets the rest of the sun from 3:00 p.m. to sunset and it faces the west. I've been experimenting with different flowers this year to see what works best on what porch, and how much sun they really need. This experience has been very uplifting for me to see how wonderful they've been growing. My most challenged has been the gardina's this year, I have been following the instructions on how to take care of them and it's working so far. Not all flowers come with an instruction manual with them, if I can't find one I panic, because I don't know what to do. I would like to learn as much as I can about planting them, and find out what plants work well in the winter as well as the summer. So, for all you flower lovers out there, if you have any suggestions on what plants that I could plant in flower pots this fall or winter and keep on my porch that will grow nicely, by all means let me know.
