First things first: January means New Year's resolutions, and I can think of a very important one. On the issue of food safety, I think the fruit industry should resolve to never take anything for granted. This past year, our friends in the vegetable industry taught us some valuable lessons about how important it is to have a solid food safety policy in place, and to make sure you and all of your employees follow it to a T.
