I got my Sweet tater slips in the mail and they look better than expected. Not wilted at all, then I put them in water like told and bam they wilted LOL
I need to till up a row for them quickly but can't find the gumption.Must try today!
Garden is looking sad, little green bugs are eating my leaves grr BUT I have pretty 5" cukes hanging on the fence. Also have some nice zucchini to harvest in a few days..They look so nice I hate to pick them but boy they are gonna make great zucchini bread.I tell my kids it's banana bread and they scarf it down LOL Alittle deception never hurts;)
Bringing home a friends incubator in a few days so we can watch my chicks hatch.I can't tell you how this girl loves her chickens..Diamonds are not my best friend,I'll take a pretty hen anyday.Hubbin thinks I am crazy, but it keeps me out of his hair and they are cheaper LOL
Saddest part of all is my old mare is dying of old age, she's 30+ Had the vet out Thursday with plans to return Sunday morning. She was a rescue that I bought from some people that starved her to near death. She never got too much fatter but she lived a good life.I can't say how sweet this animal is.She's been my best friend, man this is hard....But I know it's right.I am trying to go on as if it's not gonna happen, but it's hard to look out my window at this point and not cry.
Much love to the kindest, gentlest mare I have ever met...
Peace
