mold in container garden

I have created this beautiful barrel garden (3D growing), but the back of the barrel doesn't get much sun, and apparently I have been overwatering it because there is mold in some of my plant cups.  I was thinking of making something reflective to get more sunlight to the back of the barrel, any other suggestions?  I was thinking a car window shade because I have seen some that are reflective.
