I know Spearmint tastes minty, but does it taste kind of licorishy, too? Because I tried some at a Pho restaurant, and I'm not entirely sure it was Spearmint. I really hope it wasn't, because I cannot stomach the taste of licorice.. and that would be such a bummer since I just started growing some Spearmint. If anybody who actually knows what they're talking about has any sound advice, haha. Give me a holler!

No, spearmint tastes like spearmint. You probably tasted tarragon because that IS a licorice flavor. |

To me spearmint tastes like it smells and it doesn't smell like licorice. Haven't grown mint in a long time. |

I looked Tarragon up and it didn't look anything like what I ate! But, I read it is licoricey.. so.. maybe it was tarragon after all. Well, that's good news for my little Spearmint! thanks! Last edited by Sirichstar on January 27th at 3:41 PM. |
