I bought this guy from an online source a week ago and it has arrived today. It is a shohin Willow Leaf Ficus. Just thought you all would be interested in seeing it. Here are some shots.

Ryan those are really fascinating. I have tried the "tray tree" and lost them in a frost that took me by surprise. Do you move your trees to the conventional tray style planter after they are established or do you begin them in the shallow trays? Beautiful job.
With a tree like this that is still in development I typically take them and plant them into shallow, but wide, pots. This allows them to grow as much as possible, but at the same time keeps the roots shallow. Once this tree is no longer in development I then can put them into a bonsai pot.
