I'm definitely in a new phase of my life. I'm just a few years from retiring, and I was laid off last week. I'll have to look for work to qualify for unemployment, but my heart's not really into it. I'm hoping the county will recall me to another position. Other than that, I'm calling myself "semi-retired".
There are years of clutter I didn't have the time and energy to clear when I was working, and now I am able to tackle it. I'm also making plans for the next gardening season which I'm excited about. Paul (husband) is helping me acclimate to being home again, and won't let me become a slacker. He is a very brave man!

I recently retired myself, it was an adjustment, I enjoy it now, found a good friend that was recent widow at the same time and we adjusted together...she now moved out of state.....I did all the cleaning of clutte and now , cluttered up some more...so will be working on that again next week....the winter months are the worse, but I plan something everyday, makes it more fun....simple, like today cleaned house...and started doing a 1000 piece puzzle, and making cookies tonight...etc...

I'm sorry to hear about the job loss. I am happy to hear about the adjustments you and your husband have made with the new situation. Good luck finding a new job, and enjoy the time off for now. Semi-retired sounds good to me, but I do hope to keep my job until full retirement time. You just never know. Good luck to you!
