Plants in my Garden: Broccolli, Carrots, Radish, Green Beans, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Spaghetti Squash, Canteloupe, Lettuce, A few sunflowers for decoration, Rosemary, Basil, Oregano, Chives, Cilantro

Favorite Aspect of Gardening: Eating the fruits of my labor, and just staring at it..

If I'm not in my garden, I can usually be found: With my kids, at the park, beach, at Walmart (ugh!), walking around town, softball games and practice, brownie meetings, walking the Seawall, surfing, running, chasing my two year old around.

Occupation: Future teacher, but now I am at home with the kids, childcare is way expensive and not very trustworthy.

About Mamasurf2b73

I am originally from Texas, my husband and I moved to Southern California in November 2006.  Since then I have been playing in the dirt, planting anything and everything I could get my hands on, and marveling when it actually grows.  Apparently, things grow very easily here, because I did not have a green thumb back in Texas.  Now it seems that everything I touch grows wonderfully.  I'm going to blame it on the climate though, you just can't beat it unless you are in Hawaii or Jamaica.

Moving Seedlings to new home today!
I just can't wait to see my veggie seedlings in the ground!  I think today is the day for some of them.  I've been hardening them for the past four days and they are looking like they are ready to go.  Sunny and warm here, and lucky me, I get to get ...
