I even have a little chipmonk that lives in my neighbor's yard. He throws food out for the critter,

He runs around both of our lawns, so we both get to enjoy the little guy.

Well, I planted more seed trays today, bringing the total planted to 6 trays of seeds the variety is incredible. I have planted datrua yellow, datura white, african daisies and about 25 othe types. I planted 2 and 3 specimens and then moved on to the next one. I only have a limited space in which to plant flowers, so I will be trying just a few of each. But that means I just have more seeds to direct sow......
Here are some photos of the overall 2007 gardens..... enjoy

I will be planting alot more variety this year.....
I am truly ready for warmer weather......

leafless lilies come up every year and they are gorgeous.....

White Daturas are a must... if you have the space

and of course the birdies like the sunflowers.....

and I want to attract more butterflies so I'll plant a few cosmos too

This is just the tip of the iceburg for planting........

Hi everyone,
I was just looking out my kitchen window this morning , when what did I spot but a beautiful little bird. There are certainly alot of birds considering the coldness of the morning.
I viewed this beautiful little bluebird. Is it a bluebird tough?

Well, We'll need to get the pond cleaned out this Spring.

I'm hoping froggy will return from the creek down below..

I hope all the lillies survived the cold weather too, last year I found new lily seeds, so I planted them up too
Ponds are very relaxing.....to hear the water flowing and watching the fish.
We are trained to feed the fish whenever they come to feed, they splash the water so they grab our attention.
Saying "feed us"

Boy oh Boy,
I'm really going to miss the warm weather, flowers and butterflies....As the weather gets colder we find other things to do, but did you ever sit long enough to realize just how short the seasons are?
It seems like when we're children we can't wait for certain things to happen like your 16th bitrthday, our 21st birthday...then as we get older we realize the age thing. Then we can't wait for Spring and Summer... to be out the gardens and flowerbeds. I just had another birthday, I'm starting to realize just how short the seasons are. I no sooner have my gardens in order in the Spring and then it seems like Fall is here already.......

and finally ....not a butterfly but still pretty cool
