About Jackteal
I have many years of growing roses, vegs, and some bedding plants. This year I am creating a backyard for all the birds and butterflies. I am so excited in learing about the native plants in my area. I live in South Texas for 25 years, but the growing soil is much diff. here. My husband says I could plant a straw and get a broom!! Well, I guess I do have a green thumb. I also had added Herbs to my list since when not in the garden, I am usually cooking. I love to use fresh thyme, basil and such in my italian dishes. I even have some Peppermint growing!! It's so much fun to watch plants grow and the feeling of pride is wonderful!!
4/1/08 Due to family death, I have relocated to Mustang, OK. It's SW of Oklahoma City, actually surrounded by OKC. It's a wonderful town with great folks. I have also joined a group, GTG of Oklahoma. If you want to find folks near you that share your gardening love, go to www.gardeningclub.com. There you will find links to all states and then you can hunt for locals.
