Yesterday provided a soaking rain which was much appreciated by the flowers in the gardens, especially our thistle. This flower has been the cornerstone of front yard for several years now. It always puts a smile on a clan member’s face as they rock on the front porch on a summer day.

That's beautiful thistle. Is it's stems thorny. We have a lot of thistle that grows around the pastures, a couple of different types, but they are really thorny and considered a menace in Kentucky. Love your pictures. You have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

I have been looking to get some thistle for the garden. I have been told it's a weed. It must have something to do with being half Scottish. Great pictures. |
