After mowing the lawn, noticed the bleeding heart is starting to blossom. This marks the third year for this perennial’s return.
Rooted in partial shape on the north side of our home this woodland native has been an excellent addition to our spring garden.

I have several types and colors. The red one like the ones in your pictures was my mother's favorite and she had one in her garden that came back year after year for as long as I can remember. My first Bleeding Heart put out the prettiest pink stem of hearts. This is such a lovely plant. I do hope it likes her home in my shade garden. Linda B |
