New Front Patio

We just put in a new patio on the front of our house. It replaces a very small lawn that was small, muddy and not very attractive. I'll post photos soon.
The next step is to start planting. We have a planting bed and several pots to help make the space look more green. This will be our main project for the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Doug: Very nice work on your new patio. Did you do the stenciled concrete yourself? It always nice when your able to look back and see your acomplishments. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing addtional photos. Flowers galore |

No, we hired a concrete contractor that specializes in this sort of work. It was pretty interesting to see the process on how they do it. Not sure I would be up for it myself, especially considering the size of our job which wrapped around three sides of our house and included a steeply sloped driveway. Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out. On a related topic, we have done most of our landscaping to date, and it is very gratifying to look back and appreciate the effort that went into these projects. We still have plenty more to go too! Thanks. The outside definitely looks better than the inside. But we're still working on that. Also, our backyard is a BIG project. Hopefully we'll do that next summer. |
