About DomesticLaura
I am a 30-something who lives in suburbia. My husband and I bought our house in May 2007 and have spent the past year working on our lawn and gardens. It's a slow process since the previous owners weren't gardeners and didn't take the best care of the beautiful shrubs that the original owner planted. We have a 1/2 acre of lawn with just a few trees (2 dogwoods, 2 red maples, and some hemlocks), but we're surrounded by woods (white pines, oaks, maples, and aspens mostly) and wetlands on 2 sides. We're both new to gardening (we each spent 10-11 years in city apartments), but we're eager to learn and to work at it. Luckily we both are descended from people with green thumbs!
