just a tad chilly this evening, I had a grand day at work, I allowed two grown women...(is 19 and 20 considered grown?) settle their differences by calm confrontation. They both said what they had to say and when it started to get heated I told them that if one did not think improper thoughts OUT LOUD...then this would not happen...if one were to think of the Golden Rule, then there would be less hurt in the world...What an awesome moment...I amaze myself sometimes!
After work today I took one of my employees to where she boards her horse...and I ended up riding! Haven't done that in years...my poor puppies like to beat me to death and my thighs hurt so bad I did not think I was going to make the ride home in my 5 speed! High and fly! Get outta mommaD's way, she is trembling! I am still a bit...ah...numb!
My youngest turned 18 yesterday and it was quite a tough day for me, I cryed, had to chase my contact lense across the parking lot! With the one good eye that still had a contact in it...and yes, blind fat ladies CAN run!!! I caught it, and then dropped it again when I got inside...Man, I am really trying to grow up, ya know, be able to wear contacts and carry on a decent conversation... anyway...I may not plan anything tomorrow...I will need to recover from all this drama...trama...CALGON...TAKE ME AWAYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Here's to wobbly thighs and peace tomorrow! Dee

You are a hoot!! What a day you had. The Golden Rule is always the best, good for you. Riding ties w/gardening for my favorite thing in the world-probably surpasses all else, but the cliche' God, family, friends etc. I can see you out there-your back may hurt tomorrow as well! Hot bath & Ibuprofen....and the contact story-I thoroughly enjoyed your blog!~Andrea |

How funny! I too am at the mercy of my one eyeball with a contact. Durn things always pop out at the worst time too! I wonder....does the golden rule work on 7,8, and 11 year old girls too? |

Good on you Deesi for helping those two have their say! Good for you getting on the horse and riding! And best wishes for your newly "adult" child. My step-daughter turned 20 this year. She's a lot more gorwn up now than when she turned eighteen. College has that effect, I think. |

OMG remember to tell me NOT to think bad thoughts out loud around you girlfriend!!! and ahhhh she turned 18 Well Mom that nest is getting empty isn't it. You never realize how much of your day is spent taking care of your family until they reach maturity!! Did you put that Contact search on video?? would have loved to see it LOL Carol |

Spring Chicken, the Golden Rule works anywhere, anytime, all the time. Thinking good thoughts in the first place helps a lot. Good Blog keep it up. Linda B |
