Plants in my Garden: Cacti & Succulents, Tomatoes, strawberries, Kale, Lettuce, Broccoli, Herbs: Mint, Parsley, Rosemary, St. John's Wort, Cilantro, Lavender, Basil, Sage, & more...for healing as well as cooking., Squash, including native varieties, Native onions, Mullein, lamb's quarters & other weeds
Favorite Aspect of Gardening: Time outside with my hands in the soil...also learning to Grow and Use all the useful plants and trees here in the desert, as our Indian tribes have done for centuries.. Our Mesquite Tree alone provides food, shelter, clothing, basketry & artwork as well as Medicine. It's a constant learning experience.

About Charma
I consider myself a Beginner as a gardener because I have only been doing it a few years, since we moved to the Desert from Chicago, and I have learned how to treasure Mother Earth. BIG change in the environment and plants, and the best part of that for me has been the opporunity to have a Winter Garden for the first time. I also began composting last year, for the first time.
I am 68...married, a mother 3 times, and also a grandmother.
