So, I have these great ;) plans for what I want to do to the woodsy part of my backyard.  I drew a picture a while ago of the basic layout that I thought I'd share with you.  I have since changed my plans, as to many of the particulars, but I didn't have the inclination to draw a new picture every single time I had a new idea.  Anyway, the essential layout is the same -- two paths leading to a sunny corner where I will have a fruit and veggie garden.  I'm also hoping to eventually put a row of 3-4 grape arbors along the upper path leading to the garden (one of the new ideas not included in the drawing).  As you can tell from the "before" picture of the actual backyard, I have my work cut out for me.  But I think it will be worth it.  It's still in the dream state right now.  This year all I managed to do was do a little cleaning up and plant a few tiny little boxwoods.  The actual pic, btw, doesn't match up perfectly with the area in the drawing, but you get the idea ;).  Right where that old swingset frame is is where I want to build the "conversation" arbor on the right, to give you a sense of how these pictures relate.
