Retired electronics/computer nerd that took on a more frugal lifestyle and compelled to learn how to stockpile food and supplies to last for a year or more.  This included dehydrating, refrigerating, freezing, and canning.  Eventually research and asking questions led to answering everyone else's questions which forced more research and learning and helping.
