For the first time ever- I saw 2 hummingbirds on my feeder at the same time! Wonder if one was the mommy and the other the baby? Ramses, my one cat, was watching them intently from the window sill LOL. He's still perched there in case they come back :)
So far, the grass that I Round-up'ed is still green. Does Round-Up have a shelf life? The stuff I used has been in the shed for years.... I'm probably going to start screening out the gravel today. Still haven't begun doing that and I better get started before I change my mind LOL! Hmmm, that will mean a trip to Lowe's and/or Home Depot first :)
Had to water all the plants last evening. We never got more than a few drops of rain from what was left of Faye- far cry from the inch or more that was forecast. I used the water from the pool- It is really nasty, and I purposely didn't put any chemicals in it for over a week so I could water the plants while draining it for storage.

I think I commented about multiple hummers feeding at the same time at my feeders. It usually happens in the early morning and late evening. It's in the middle day that the games begin. I don't know if hummers are really that territorial or just love the game of dive bombing each other, sort of a courting dance. Maybe this is how they establish their pecking order. I love to watch them, I'll leave the answers to the bird scientist. You all have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

Aurora I have wondered the same thing about round-up. I used some that had been there over a year and it did not do well at all. Have bought new stuff to use in my front yard project. LB |
