Been a pretty good day. Got the main bath cleaned really good. The kids even cleaned their rooms and playroom without too much of a fight :) Talked to Steve, he's having a pretty good birthday in Italy.
The Toad Lilly that I planted yesterday has rewarded me with a bloom :) It's a very pretty purple/blue color. I'll try to get a pic of it to post. The passion flower has another bloom on it today, with about 20 more buds! I'm looking forward to having it blooming in the house this winter. It really seems to like being watered with coffee once a week LOL!
The weather today has been just beautiful- about 80 with no humidity. Wish I could've been out in the garden instead of cleaning- Oh well, maybe tomorrow... Maybe I'll play a bit this evening yet...
Marley was digging in the veggie garden last night, this morning I discovered she had unearther 2 small potatoes from one of my potato plants, still attached! They are about the size of a marble, but they're potatoes!!!! I covered them back over so they can grow larger :)
I think I am going to pull up the 2 pepper plants that haven't produced a single pepper- maybe I'll try planting some of the garlic bulbs I bought the other week in their spot...
Yesterday I planted hollyhock (thanks Deesi), Bleeding Heart (thanks MamaBear), Sea Holly and white columbine seeds (thanks Evonne) into some of my bakery containers. Maybe they'll grow enough before our frost (not usually until November) so that I can get blooming plants next year. I'll plant more of the seeds directly later this fall, with some saved for spring too.
My ankle is just fine now after the wasp sting last evening. Stupid wasp *mad*
Well, I better get going to make dinner and clean up the kitchen before a friend comes over
Have fun gardening :)
