Or maybe I should title this blog entry Stupid Wasp!! While putting a new propane cylinder on the grill, a wasp stung me twice on the ankle. You should have seen me jumping around yelling and screaming- it must've been really funny LOL! Thankfully my Mom was over for dinner and helped me out. Thank God for Mommies :) I haven't swelled up very much and the pain is now finally mostly gone (after 3 hours!!) I'm going to take some Benadryl before I go to bed though...
Planted the Toad Lilly and Yarrow today- it was perfect weather today, cloudy and cool (relatively speaking). No sooner did I get the toad lilly in the ground and walk into the house it started pouring down rain-for about 2 minutes. Was able to get back out and get the yarrow planted- I divided it into 2 plants and put them in 2 different beds.
The Rain Lillies I planted a week or so ago have been growing like crazy! 14 of 15 bulbs have come up and are already about 4 inches tall. Not bad for a $1 clearance buy :)
Well, I better get going, Megan's watching the gymnastics and is "practicing" in the dining room...

If you hold a copper penny on a wasp sting for fifteen minutes the pain will go away and not come back. The redness will also go away. You have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

Oooh poor Aurora! I HATE HATE HATE getting stung. Just an FYI Bees, Hornets and spiders are attracted to the scent of LP. I used to work at an RV Dealership and we sold LP--filling those tanks was sheer hazzard! We have olympic fever here too!! GO USA!! |
