It's been a busy day today! Got Steve to the airport late this morning. He'll be in Italy for a week. Then me and the kids went to Wal-Mart on the way back. Picked up a big bag of potting soil so I can pot the brug cuttings that have rooted in water, as well as the wandering jew cuttings. Then I made the "mistake" of checking out the clearance plant section LOL!. I don't know why any of these plants were on clearance! I got a very healthy columbine (don't know what color), a blooming bromeliad, and a gorgeous miniature rose that has buds on it- ALL for 50% off!!!!
After getting back from that, took the kids down to play with friends. Had a great time talking to MY friends, but I feel really bad for not getting to take advantage of a fabulous day to work in the gardens. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to get things planted...
The toad lilly I bought on sale at my one nursery is getting some BIG buds on it- I can't wait till it blooms. I'm still not sure where I'm going to plant it though...
Sad news- I think something ate the big swallowtail caterpillar Munchy-munch. I can't find it anywhere, and there was a "puddle" of liquid on a leaf that was under where I last saw it :(
Well, I better get going- I have to get the kids in bed, clean up the kitchen, and watch Olympics!!!
Have fun gardening :)
