Have the neighbor's kids over swimming. They swam for about an hour, and now they are upstairs playing on the PS3 (Playstaion 3)- at least the boys are. Their sister and Megan decided they want to take a bath LOL! They are in there now destroying the bathroom I am sure. It needs cleaned anyway LOL!
A couple of days ago I found this caterpillar munching on my parsley
Today I found him as a cocoon!
If anybody knows what he his, please let me know! I'm thinking about putting it into the "bug house" (really just a small fishtank) until it emerges :) The kids will really find that cool I'm sure.

Hi there, that's a Monarch. Your gonna have a baby!!!! If you look in my pics you will see the one I "gave birth to" last year. I know the kids will love witnessing that. Make sure you take pics during and after too! |

Oh, boy! What fun that will be. I used to grow fennel and parsley just for the butterflies! Never saw the results of my efforts, but they always feasted well. |

Nope not a Monarch, that is a Swallowtail, either yellow or black. They are such fun to watch as they change in the chryslis. Enjoy. You can see the Monarch in my photo album - Rogers gardens - I think. They raise them every year. The only thing that will host Monarchs is Milkweed. Linda B |
