Boy is it a hot one! At 9am it was already 93 degrees! We are currently at 95 with a heat index of 103. Needless to say we are under a heat advisory, and also a Severe thunderstorm watch until 4. Can anyone say miserable? LOL!

The kids are driving me insane! Constant fighting, whining, and Logan has gotten into talking back. Factor in it's too hot for them to play outside ARRGGHHH!

Watered last night- drained the rain barrel watering just 2 beds. Also managed to clog up my spray nozzle. *sigh* I really hope we get some rain from the storms we are supposed to get, I just don't want the severe damaging part!

Have to think of something to keep the kids occupied and out of trouble today.

To her that meant closets, shelves, curtains, mattresses vaccumed - the whole nine yards. I don't suggest you do this, but in cleaning out our books, games and toys got us interested in things we hadn't seen in months. Maybe let them pull out stuff and take it to a charity or give outgrown toys to families you know that have younger children. Now my sister had a method where she kept some toys in a big box. Then every so often she would take out most of the toys they had played with for months and replace them with the ones in the box. It was a new day for them and it gave them an opportunity to say we don't want this one any longer. I so remember those 'boring' days of hot summer. Even a pool doesn't help if the water feels more like hot bath water. Sprinklers and water guns were a favorite. Nothing like getting soaking wet in all your clothes. Good luck keeping those little ones busy. Linda B
