Just a few additions to add since my original entry- decided to give them their own place.

Earlier today I was treated to a show by about 6 blackbirds bathing and drinking in my flowerpot fountain. They were so enjoying themselves. They would take turns being at the top flowerpot drinking the water where it comes up, like they were people drinking at a water fountain. Then they would hop down to the lowest level to where there's a big rock just below the surface, where they would splash themselves with water. I stood there smilingat their antics for about 15 minutes. Of course when I went and got the camera they were gone.

The little bird seems to be doing well. It's been moving around under the azalea bush where I put it. I just hope it survives the night.

Who sang that song "The Heat is On"? Today was the last day of nice weather for at least the next 2 days. Wednesday the high is supposed to be 91, with a chance of severe thunderstorms. Thursday is forecast to be 92! Hello summer!
