After finally finding the lost mower key I headed out to mow the hayfield, er lawn. Sit down, turn the key- MOWER DOESN"T START!!! UGGGHHHHH. Dead battery.
So instead I piddled around, then went to Lowes to pick up the window and check out their plants. Unfortunately none of their plants were on sale. But I bought 2 jalepenos to replace the ones Marley dug up, and 2 Bloodroot roots and a Round-lobed Hepatica root. I'm hoping the Bloodroots will come up next spring. The hepatica was growing in the little bag!
After DH got home and hooked up the charger I was finally able to get the grass cut. HOORAY! I bet the neighbor's are all very happy too. Now to get around to weed-whacking along the fence and the edging blocks.
I'm going to try to get the 2 clematis planted tomorrow- the soil was too wet to work with today.

I had to buy a new battery this year, it wouldn't take a charge. Now Sandy rides and cuts. I would but my legs are paralyzed some what and I can't get on or off the mower. I know that sounds like a lazy husband story, but life comes at you. You all have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

We went back to Lowes today and got some more rescues. Home Depot didnt have any, either. Have fun planting tomorrow. |

I am glad to hear I am not the only one who ends up spinning my wheels looking for some misplaced item! Last year, the key to our tractor fell out of my pocket [unbeknownst to me] while I was weeding or planting dahlias. I searched and searched for nearly a week until finally my hubby said to call the place we bought it from and get a new key. Well, wouldn't you know by the time we resort to getting a new key - I found the old one. Well, good to have a back up anyway. I am trying to develop more of an organizational routine - making sure things get put back where I first look for them etc. to save me from wasting so much time just trying to get started. |

My dad was always losing his mower key until he tied a child's teething ring to it! |
