Well, I started my first garden today...with the help of my Dad, he broke the dirt, and stuff like that, I planted the seeds, and watered them. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm hoping for the best. I planted Aster, Stargazer Lilium, Marigold, Sun flowers, and Snapdragon. I believe that this garden is going to be a partial cutting garden because I love flowers, and I love to have fresh cut flowers in my parent's living room. Flowers are some of God's best creations, I can't wait until I can proudly display my own flowers, and give them to people, spreading happiness, and love. I don't really know how to maintain fresh cut flowers, come to think of it. The intuition roses that my fiance gave me for Valentine's day withered pretty quickly, I wish I knew more about these flowers that I love so.

leafette	Feb 20, 2008 \| 5:27 AM PST I have 4 long stemmed roses that I hung upside down. They dried and now I have them in a vase and they although they don't smell, they still look not to bad. As a student you must know that all learning isn't in books and most of us are still students- still learning! So come join us as we learn! leafette

Debstr	Feb 20, 2008 \| 4:10 PM PST Hi there Amaris and Welcome! I sure wish my daughter had an interest in gardening as you do :-) My newest interest this year is also flowers - fresh cut & dried. Take a look at the flower chart on my blog (if you can read it ok) I did some research & most of those are for cutting for fresh flowers and also drying. We can compare notes as we learn!
