I guess the one little American goldfinch that was at the feeder yesterday told the rest of the flock about the new feeder. Wow....this morning it was exciting to see this many at the feeder.

Here are some spring flowers that are opening. Now I am really getting excited.

I love to watch the tan color on the goldfinch turn to yellow, it's a progression that parallels the coming of spring and summer. I noticed about a hundred of them today. We have a couple of feeders that we feed thistle seed and I think that is the favorite of goldfinches. I hadn't seen those sock feeders, very interesting. Irises that big, I'm really jealous. AngelsGarden	Feb 10, 2008 \| 8:56 PM PST I really like this feeder. I just got it last week. My old feeder needed to be thrown away. Some feeders are just not a smart design and the seed gets gross after a rain. The new feeder was $15 from Wal-Mart. So far I really like it, we will see how it is after some rain. The last picture is my 5 yr old daughter, so the iris blooms look a little bigger than they are since her hands are smaller than mine. Last edited by AngelsGarden on February 10th at 8:57 PM.

Hold the little fish real close to the camera while standing back with a big smile on your face. I still think it is terrific to have irises right now. You have a great day and God bless. AngelsGarden	Feb 10, 2008 \| 9:37 PM PST lol, nope, no tricks. My little one just loves the flowers like her Mommy. She just happed to walk back there and when she put her hand up I thought it was cute. BTW I was surprised to find that the iris blooms are fragrant!

yardgranny6	Feb 11, 2008 \| 5:47 PM PST Angel I have had so many Iris over the years that now I look for ones that are fragrant and rebloom as well. They are such a nice plant. Linda B
