Today when I got off of work, I had a little time to burn until I picked up the kids. So I went to one of my favorite places (Home Depot) just to see what there was to see. I admired some fruit trees and a red maple. The maple was $70!!! One of the fruits was peach, they already had some buds swelling and I even saw a couple of flowers open. All of the dwarf munsa trees looked dead! :( Completely brown. I don't know if they are just dormant, hope not. They had a large BURPEE seed display that was nice and neat, with all of the seed pkgs in their rightful spots. I couldn't resist. I did need to refresh my supply of a few of the varieties. So here is what came home with me.

I also picked out 4 pkgs of flower seeds that especially interested me.

garden98011	Jan 16, 2008 \| 5:53 PM PST What a "pick-me-up" visiting a garden center adds to your day! Do you have a greenhouse or sow the seeds directly? I went to a local nursery as well today-one of about three customers. With snow on the ground, I was hesitant to purchase any plants (usually push my limits), but did leave with tickets to Seattle's garden show next month...ahhhhh

AngelsGarden	Jan 17, 2008 \| 3:19 PM PST garden98011, I bet that garden show will be great fun! Just the right medicine for gardening addicts that have a bad case of spring fever. I do not have a greenhouse. I have used a variety of methods for seed starting. Direct seeding, Outdoor seeding then putting on a protective milk jug cover, or some seeds are started inside under lights. Welcome to Garden Guides!!!
AngelsGarden	Jan 17, 2008 \| 3:20 PM PST Soaphouse, I helped cater a wedding awhile back, the flowers were beautiful! I saw some Bells of Ireland in some of the flower arrangements, but didn't know what they were. When I saw the seed pkg I knew that I had to give it a try.

AngelsGarden	Jan 18, 2008 \| 6:32 PM PST Yes, Nana they are taken with a digital camera that I no longer have. Now I am shopping around for a new one. Hopefully I will have it within a couple of weeks. I don't know about being a 'super' gardener but I sure do enjoy it.
