The leaves are falling from some of the trees, but it still doesn't really feel like fall when it comes to the temps.  I am kind of grateful though.  I have been very sick for over a week and the warmer temps help with that. 

Being sick and going to the garden center is not a good idea though.  At least not for me.  Its kind of like going grocery shopping on an empty stomach.  I ended up spending $71!!!!!    My husband was near the garden center when I was there and stopped by to see me while I was looking around.....big mistake!!!  We both saw things we have wanted for awhile and I guess our defenses were down :). 

So we ended up with these happy additions.

A whole slew of purple decorative cabbage (I think thats what it is) and pansies.

Bright yellow hardy Mums.

Bird of Paradise for hubby, he has wanted one for soooo long, and this one appears to have 5 stems in the pot.  I don't know yet if they are connected.

And last is a Split Leaf something or other......I love these and I have seen some REALLY big ones around here. They seem to lend a tropical feel to garden areas, this one is in need of some fertilizer.
