hehe i have a big family! also all my lectuce and peas are grown in the shade and the soil is keept moist at all times.

Hello Zergas you must eat a lot of lettuce? In zone 6 the weather here has been to hot in the 100's and with the humidity wow I don't belive lettuce would grow to good in early spring yes,but in july and august our hottest months I don't think it would do to good? but it must be nice being able to grow cool weather crops all through the months of April-Aug.Bye for now Rita |

Hi Rita. I have read that in our zone 6, mid to late August is a good time to start seed for most lettuce varieties. |

hi Rita im in zone 5 and i sow lectuce every week from early april all the way till mid august this way i have lectuce all summer/fall long. i hate it when u have to harvest it all at the same time

Hello I lived in Ohio zone 6 and I want to try my luck with fall planting of head lettuce and not sure when to plant the seeds does anyone know when to plant in my zone?Rita |
