hehe i have a big family! also all my lectuce and peas are grown in the shade and the soil is keept moist at all times.

Hello Zergas you must eat a lot of lettuce? In zone 6 the weather here has been to hot in the 100's and with the humidity wow I don't belive lettuce would grow to good in early spring yes,but in july and august our hottest months I don't think it would do to good? but it must be nice being able to grow cool weather crops all through the months of April-Aug.Bye for now Rita

Hello John and thank you so much will plant them late August then! Hope they will grow good since this is the first time planting lettuce?Of,course it could be beginners luck???Rita

Hi Rita. I have read that in our zone 6, mid to late August is a good time to start seed for most lettuce varieties.

hi Rita im in zone 5 and i sow lectuce every week from early april all the way till mid august this way i have lectuce all summer/fall long.
i hate it when u have to harvest it all at the same time

Hello I lived in Ohio zone 6 and I want to try my luck with fall planting of head lettuce and not sure when to plant the seeds does anyone know when to plant in my zone?Rita
