What is you level of interest in water gardening? Do you have a pond or know someone who does? Do aquatic plants interest you? If you don't have a pond do you know someone who does?

Thank you for taking the time to participate.

Hi Vinni,

Being around the pond sure is relaxing isn't it?

I have all the stuff I need for it except a muscle person and the finish rock. When I convince some strong young man to help me dig the area up, I'll probably drive you nuts with questions!

Vinni,
The size of the pond is a bit larger than I want to attempt by myself. Besides, I became obsessed by the veggie garden gods and added 2 more huge raised beds and serveral fruit trees on top of all I have in the back 40 already.
As far as Wonderboy... Kevin got a great promotion at Best Buy and has to travel, he's directing a couple indy films, going to school, acting in his theatre group and has a serious girlfriend. Doesn't leave much time for old Mom!
I am working on getting a certain Spicy Italian to help me though....!

The river I live on makes a lovely water feature, and is really low-maintenance, too.

Someyear, however, I would like to have a water garden. I may have to win the lottery to do it, but I have a spot all picked out for it should the opportunity arise.

My parents had a water garden 40years ago, before they were common. I have always wanted one for my own yard but never said anything because it was a major project in all respects. A few years back, out of the blue, my son suggested putting in a fish pond when we were discussing how to spend our summer vacation. I couldn't afford both but he galliantly decided to stay home and help with the construction instead of going somewhere for the vacation. I couldn't have been happier! Now we all have a place of enjoyment and relaxation that has lasted far longer that a 2wk vacation!
Money/effort well spent!

You can get by quite cheaply and easily the way that we did ours..it isn't as large as I'd like but it is a start Mine is a 50 gal. preformed pond + a waterfall..We built a hill around the waterfall with a load of excellent compost from a neighbor with cows..free .. and a friend with a little loader helped move the dirt..I'm thinking of adding to it next year

I had to vote no interest on this poll since I currently live in an apartment and can only manage houseplants and summer annuals in pots on my deck. Maybe someday though...
