I normally only keep an aloe and a lucky bamboo inside. I have oodles of container plants but keep them outdoors except in extream weather. I moved most of them inside today as the temps are going down, and will finish bringing in what will fit tomorrow as the temps are predicted to go down to 28 tomorrow night. Now starts moving them in and out so the ones that need some sun don't turn light green. One year I had the most anemic looking aloes I ever saw. They turned pale pale sea green. I usually try to drag them out during sunny days but one pot got pushed aside and when I found it, I almost dumped it but it perked up once I put it outside.

I have 9. I used to have many more, but I got an attack of fungas knats and ended up getting rid of a lot of them. I now actually perfer the silk flowers because they look so real and don't require repotting!

I'm not much on houseplants, I agree with Colvillea. However my bedroom is supposed to look like a walled medieval garden so I did add some houseplants this year. I currently have 5, one is a vase of lucky bamboo in water. I don't have palstic, but I did add some silk flowers and a silk ficus tree. My room just does not have a lot of light, so I lost 2 real plants that way and one my cat Chaucer kept eating til there was nothing left. Hmph, cats are so silly. I bought some gras seed for cats and he ignored it!

Well it all started with this little philo my hubby got me for Mothers Day. Now I have spider plants, ferns, mums, a rosemary, croton, and the palm tree is no more. It simply got too big for our apartment. I thought I'd find something else for height that won't grow so fast. The only room without a houseplant is my bedroom and there isn't enough light for anything to grow in there.

I have 4 gigantic Boston ferns, forced hyacinths and paperwhites, a poinsettia, aloe, jade, ivy, crotons and mother-in-law's tongue (at least that's what the person who gave it to me called it). My ferns are huge! They hang on my porch most of the year...But the rest of my houseplants are pretty low maintenance. I want to get more, though.

Well...I've never counted mine in the great room so I went in there and counted over 65. I probably have 15 violets. No wonder it takes me so long to water! Alot of them will go back on the porch (Christmas cactus-4 of them) and back on the patio when it turns warm in the spring. I will be happy to have that sparse look again. lol.

1 have 2 Wondering Jews,3 airplane plants,1 peace lily,I mother-in laws tongue,1 palm,1 jade,1 mix that includes a philodendren (sp?),1 something succulent that I brought home from Galveston and 2 unknown cactus + 2 decorative cactus planters with a variety of cactus that never seem to grow. The cactus are not a deterrent for the kittens either! I heard a crunching sound and turned to see what they were eating and one of them was actually chewing on it! They also steal the little ones out of the pot What animals they are.
