Need help identifying shrub with black berries

located in PA, alot of these shrubs or small trees in shadded area near water. shrubs ranging from 1-5 feet tall. looks like Elderberry or Choke Berry but the leaves look like small maple leafs. Im sorry about the picture by the time i got the sample to a camera it wasnt as lively. thanks for any information you can share.

I believe these to be currants now, can anyone confirm this?

Thank you for the reply and thats about the only plant i can find online that fits the berries and the leaves. these were very new to me. i stared at them forever expecting the leaves to re-arrange themselves to oblong serrated-

Undoubtedly mapleleaf viburnum, Viburnum acerifolium.
