BLover...Your D.Lilies are beautiful!!! Before I saw your name, I saw the Day Lilies and here was my first thought...this person lives in Ky, W.V. because we just got back from vac. and we saw D.Lilies everywhere on the sides of the road. They saw that is what grows easy up there. Beauties. Blessings...reba

What lovely lilies!

Mine didn't do much worth a hoot this year. I guess it's been too hot and dry.

Thanks everyone for the kudos....however I can't really brag on many of my day lilies this year myself. I noticed on mine and many others in our area that the leaves are turning yellow much too early....not sure why? Dry? But at least they have some blooms. The first picture of my peach/yellow colored one is a terrific bloomer. Last year it had over 100 bloom....not sure if it will match this year but I decided it was too much work to try and count again this year! LOL.. yes I can be lazy! I have a beautiful pink asiastic lily that I will share when the next bloom opens. It is very dry here....we had a sprinkle last night.....that was all. Birdie
ps.. I see another is open today.....here it is..Pale Pink lily

Beautiful! Love the variety and colors.
Mine didn't do well this year either. They all bloomed, but not a lot. Just like everything else in this heat and drought! I've kept the vegetable garden watered and the patio flowers, but nothing else. It's a losing battle.

Right Sadie......looked at my columbines tonight and they look absolutely sick......I have quite a few and they all are finished blooming..... but watering every plant takes gallons of water and with the drought I think I should be conservative with the watering....so some flowers may die this year.....I guess it just has to be that way this year. Vegetable garden takes priority for sure!

We are dry and hot here too Birdie. I have a lot of things not doing well at all. I also have a huge infestation of Japanese beetles this year (not cold enough last winter to kill them off) and they are stripping several of my plants too. Not a really pretty garden this year.
