#3 another rain tree?

I think 4 and 5 are pics of the same plant. I'm not sure 'cause there were lots of plants growing together in this one area.

edit: i was just looking at my images again. looks like 4 and 5 have different leaves.

Didn't get past your first pic...the very first one in called a Natal Plum. They were used for landscape shrubs all through Los Angeles in my day. They have a fragrance and are thorny...I can't grow them here (yet), plus they are hard to find up here.

I've always like them, now I'm going to finish your photos (^_~)

Wow! Beautiful shots..some of those I remember seeing when I lived in Los Angeles, I was born there.

Wishing you very well (^_^)

thank you Betts! that one is one of my favorites. Looks like the leaf is thorny too?

the following pic of hubby/son has a pic of the the plant with orange flower and the tree with purple flowers.

I want to create this look on one of the slopes by our home. I already have the agapanthus, i can always spread it out on the slope then eventually it will hopefully look like the pic.

the tree might be hard to find, I don't think i've ever seen one. I'll wait for id i'll try to id now too, i have time to look until the baby wakes up lol!
