mulberry trees

need to transplant my alba mulberry. it,s 7 ft tall and fruiting right now. it's in a shady spot and only gets a little sun.any suggestions?

I don't know that now would be a good time to plant it in the ground in your area. If you do, be sure to give it lots of water and care the first year. And since it is already fruiting, unless you are going to remove the fruit, I'd just leave it alone until the fall.

I have a mulberry tree about the same size and has been fruiting - darned birds - but the berries seem to be small and dry this year. We purchased/planted it last year with wonderful berries already on from the nursery. It could be that the birds are getting them before they mature, but a couple have gotten red...just not big! Any ideas?
