I'll be putting mine up this weekend. I think Saturday is St. Patrick's Day.

Who will be the first to see a hummer this year?

Well it probably won't be me ~ the feeder is there, but I am working five days a week. Maybe my dog will see one first
Oh, and they removed the 3/9 sighting in Elgin, IL from the migration site. Had to be a mistake, as I suspected.

I put out one feeder in the front yesterday. I almost forgot to do it. I'll put out the second one in the backyard today . . . that is, if I remember.

I put the second feeder in the backyard yesterday where it's always been. Now if I'm on the back patio, I may spot one. That's usually the place that I always see the first one anyway. Now I'm covered, front and back.

Check out the migration map on learner.org ~ they are getting closer by the day. The one feeder I have hanging on the porch seems to have been going down a bit but it may be the wasps/bees getting busy while I am at work! We have a LOT of bees this year ~ good deal!

I haven't seen one yet either. I guess it will be April as usual for me.

Yippee!! I saw my first hummer today at 2:20!! March 30. Never have I seen one in March. One of my girlfriends and I were sitting on the porch and there he came! Right to the feeder. We both were thrilled!!

Oh, alright ~ you win, you lucky little devil, you. I am pea-green with envy! Nothing here yet ~ I have changed my nectar out three times already. There are sightings all around us so I know they are here. Just not HERE, here
So happy for you (you brat!!)
