At one time I had a 15-20, I still have about 6-7 and they are vicious little birds!

I only have two or three now, and there are two feeders on the porch ~ so they have let up on each other a bit

I hadn't seen any for a couple of days, so I figured they were gone. Yesterday, I got Hubby out on the porch and two hummers played around for an hour. They tested out your cleomes, KeyWee, and then drank from the pineapple sages like crazy! They would fly onto the porch, look Hubby in the eye and then go back to the gorgeous red pineapple sage blossoms. They zipped over to the feeder, through the porch and back to the sages. It was the most fun!

The same thing happened to us last night!! We were sitting on the porch with our glass of wine, and they were coming right up to our faces. I wonder if they are saying goodbye?

Maybe they wanted a little sippy to get their buzz on!

I still have them as of October 9.

YAY! Here it is October 13 and we just saw a hummer. Once on the feeder and then on the pineapple sage. I don't know if it were the same one or not. It could have been a straggler, but I think this breaks my record.

I didn't see any yesterday, but I wasn't home before dark so.....

My record is 10/21 ~ so I have another week to go. Hope I still have some this weekend. Glad you still have them ~ I just hate to see them leave.

Dare we hope that if they stay a bit longer, the winter will be mild???
