recycling products to make pots!

hi all!
Can you help me get few ideas which home recycling products one can use to reuse them as pots or planters?

You could use half a lemonade or milk bottle but would transplant the plant if the roots begin to show on the side of the bottle. If you intend to use the recycled pot indoors then a cardboard box could be useful if there's drainage holes.
