I have a concrete patio with cracks in it. Since we aren't in a position to replace it I want to know if there is any organic way to get rid of the dock that is growing in the cracks. I've been cutting them off but they don't give up. The botanical name is: Rumex obtusifolius. Attachments: ![]() |

Vinegar will kill the plant, and anything it touches. Apply carefully-vinegar is not selective in what it kills. You will have to apply more than once to eradicate. |

Thank you, I want to kill everything growing there so it should work fine. |

You can also salt the stem after you cut it off. I do that all the time with thistles. |
